Book Review
Development As Freedom
by Amartya Kumar Sen

Buy this book from Amazon.com

This is one more great book on the new millennium. The social and freedom issues that affect third world, developing and developed countries. Amartya Sen was the 1998 Nobel Prize winner in economics and science. Sen argues compellingly that globalization requires focus on the rising wealth tide and how it should positively affect all people. A few getting rich will destroy a one-time opportunity to benefit all.

Sen argues like Adam Smith that capitalism can let people prosper in mass and allow for personal freedoms and well being. There is no bigger debate on our future than freedom and the well being for all vs for a few.

This is a great read on social economic issues.
